March 24 is World TB day. Tuberculosis is
still a leading problem in many countries, with several million people dying
from the disease each year. Especially our country currently stands second only
to India in terms of the number of sufferer. 842 thousand cases of active tuberculosis
were reported in China last year, and our country still faces an uphill battle
to combat the disease.
"Yes ! We can end TB" is the
theme of this year’s 28th World TB day. The aim is to eradicate the
disease completely across the world before 2035.
